Why they're trying to help North Korea?

Thomas C. Hubbard, the former U.S ambassador to Korea refuted the remark of the former U.S ambassador to Korea Donald P. Greg who said "Cheonan incident might be an accident", Hubbard publicly criticized Greg's argument saying "The remark of Greg is not convincing because basically the supporting material behind that is a Russian report, which has no clue of public confidence and was never unveiled. I highly doubt that former ambassador Greg is putting too much weight on his personal feeling about North Korea's motivation."

It can be easily noticed from the remarks of former ambassador Hubbard that Greg is pro-North Korea.

Greg was strongly pro North Korean regime who showed his stance toward North Korea and resentment against the conservatives in Korea during the interview with a US media related to secretary Cliton's visit to Korea in last February. In the interview he said "I hope secretary Cliton can closely coordinate with Korean government to urge some South Koreans to stop their annoying behaviors of raising hostile voices against the North . In dealing with North Korea, it's better to send thoughtful and moderate messages".

It's cool with Mr. Greg's personal taste, but it's not acceptable to make those hasty words for the tragedy of other nation without having Russia's formal announcement that is based on the evidence and has public confidence.
Besides, given the fact that he was not really friendly to Korea during his career as the U.S ambassador to Korea, arguing right and wrong about Cheonan incident itself looks like he's backing North on this controversy.

Which 'they" are you talking about? Donald P Greg seems to be the only one who has made supporting comments about North Korea in the text above. Where did you find this info? If you can provide a link then it may help to see if the author or publisher of the document has a personal vendetta or political reason to make the comments he/she has made. Context is important.
