Turkiye MinDef before already talk on sister ship of Anodolu which will call Trakya.

Ankara had previously announced plans to build a sister ship, the TCG Trakya later this decade.

However talk about new carrier design seems getting traction. Base on Turkish media and forums, it can be a large STOBAR design (as put in this article,from Navy recognition;

Or something that larger then Anodolu, but still base on Spanish design (which means still work with Spain).

I guess in the end reality of budget will determine what they are going to get. The STOBAR design will depend their capabilities to navalised their TFX (similar with ROK plan to Navalised KFX). However even ROK with larger economy and defense industry, seems having second thoughts on that. I do suspect modified Anadolu is what they are getting. Still within their budget and industrial reach, and workable with their continues concept as drone light carriers.

Few days ago TCG Istanbul the first of Turkey MILGEM program Frigate offcialy enter Turkey Navy active roosters.

Put it also video from the producer STM channel. 8 of MILGEM Frigate being plan, and seems they will replace all MEKO 200 Frigates. At least the first four of MEKO is already set to be retire and replace by MILGEM Frigate.

Turkish MILGEM Corvette already found customer in Pakistan and in talk also with Malaysia.

Our First Look at the Turkish Navy's Future Aircraft Carrier - Naval News
Details and pictures have been released on the possible future Aircraft Carrier for the Turkish Navy. The plan appears to be for a 285m, 60,000t STOBAR carrier. The pictures released of the model show a version of the indigenous Fighter Jet known as the KAAN lined up on the flight deck
The front of the ski-jump looks really weird, just a straight vertical surface at the front edge.

|"The STOBAR (Short Take-Off But Arrested Recovery) solution appears to be the most viable in terms of cost-effectiveness. Nevertheless, adjustments to the design may occur based on evolving needs and the current geopolitical landscape."|

Sometimes i wonder what will be more cost-effective, develop a more compact STOBAR-carrier and a more sophisticated jetfighter with powerful engines, or a large CATOBAR carrier with less sophisticated jetfighters.
Probably it also depends on the amount of required aircraft carriers and jetfighters. .

I suspect it may be an early draft, and it looks somewhat narrow.

Xavier video on DIMDEX in session with head of Istanbul Shipyard. Talking about current and next projects of Istanbul Shipyard, as Turkiye main naval shipyard. There's also glimpse on Turkiye AAW Frigate (2:30) and their next Carrier (2:40).

Despite Turkiye economic situations, Sultan Erdo seems determine to make those projects on track so far. Afterall this is his main agenda on creating projects that intergrate development of Turkiye MIC.

More details have emerged on Turkiye's planned Carrier, including a possible air group of 50 aircraft, to include the Hurjet Light Attack Jet, ANKA-III and KIZILELMA unmanned jet fighters and the TB-3 UCAV. A naval version KAAN jet fighter is also a possibility.

Turkiye is also looking at developing a catapult system, possibly to be refitted at a later date.

This is a very difficult project with potentially a lot of points of failure, for a country with little experience in operating fixed wing aircraft off flight decks. Turkiye also seems to want to go alone.

You have to wonder if this is an Erdogan ego trip.

Certainly does not look like the current aircraft carrier aspirant, the TCG Anadolu.
LHD with some aviation capability I can understand even with only a limited number of F35bs.
A 60,000t aircraft carrier, well that's a very big jump.
Single vessel classes always look programmatic to provide a true capability.
So what is Turkiye thinking here?

Does not look realistic on many levels.

Interesting S

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan as well as commemorating 134th anniversary of the Frigate Ertuğrul’s tragic incident off the coast of Japan, the Turkish Naval Forces 4th and final Ada-class corvette, the TCG Kinaliada (F-514) left Turkey on 8 April and is scheduled to arrive in Japan on 8 June .

|"The Ertuğrul was an Old Ottoman Frigate that set sail from the Ottoman Empire to Japan in July 1889 with more than 600 men to pay Japan a goodwill visit in return for the previous visit of Prince Komatsu of Japan to Istanbul. The frigate finally arrived in Japan in June 1980; however, during the ship’s return journey in September, the Ertuğrul encountered a severe typhoon that took all but 69 sailors of the ship."|

What a tragic loss, they reached Japan after more than a century of sailing, and on the way back the ship never made it home....

Video from Aselsan, show casing TCG Istanbul as Turkiye first frigate that also mostly using the product of their own domestic MIC. Something that's important for Sultan Erdo not only for International audiences (including potential Export Market), but also to domestic constituents.

Turkiye effort to increase their defense products export, make Istanbul Milgem Frigate not only a show case Frigate for Exports. However also potential market that want to use Aselsan product for their own platform.

At least that's what already found in Indonesia. Aselsan and Roketsan system, sensors, electronics and weapons (basically SEWACO package), already found market in Indonesia OPV-90 platform, but also potential as part of Red-White (Arrowhead 140 derivative) Frigate program. For Turkish this is one of their ticket to engage with potential export market, as alternatives NATO base weapons systems. Just like what Frenchie does.
