At last some news about this project, the longest submarine ever made.
Btw, wasnt the name Project 09852? They talk here about 09853.

Edit:
This seems to be the Big Boy, the one and only K-329 Belgorod. Photo from © CrazyMk

Edit 2:
Now also a video, with as a bonus two Project 941 boats on the background!

Interesting that this new submarine is to be based in the Pacific. Perhaps a message to another player besides the US?

Well it's not cast in stone that it's coming to the Pacific, but I do see the logic of it. There are a lot of cables criss crossing the Pacific that are just as valuable for Russian purposes as those in the Baltic, North Sea, Arctic, and Atlantic.

This report is from april this year, but i saw that no reports about the refurbishment and modernisation of the AS-31 Losharik were shared here.

So in March this year, specialists at the yard completed the task of extracting the deep-diving submarine’s nuclear reactor core.

Losharik is constructed from seven, spherical, titanium hulls. The front five hulls are interconnected, while the last two are paired up and hold AS-31’s nuclear reactor and machinery. According to TASS’s source, the deep-diving submarine’s titanium hull suffered practically no damages. The nuclear reactor itself, powering the submarine, will not be replaced and are ready to work with the new uranium fuel elements in place.

The repairs and modernisation will take at least 4 years.

The 10th Project 20380 corvette Rezkiy under construction for the Russian navy was rolled out from the slipway at the Amur Shipyard in Russia’s Far East and placed in the float-out dock for its transfer to the delivery base in several months’ time.

The corvette is set to be transferred to the delivery and acceptance base in Vladivostok in several months to complete its construction, carry out shipbuilders’ sea and state trials and deliver it to the Pacific Fleet.

And now a Project 885M Yasen-M update.
According to TASS, the Novosibirsk submarine went yesterday on 1 July to the While Sea for shipbuilders sea trials for the first time. It seems that the Project 885M is 9 meters shorter than the normal Project 885 and it also needs lesa crewmembers.

The Project 11711E large landing ship is designed for landing missions and transportations. According to USC, the ship has a full displacement of 6,600 t. The naval platform is 135 m long and 16.5 m wide, and has a draught (with full displacement) of 3.8 m. The ship’s board is 11 m high.
The Project 11711E ships features high landing capacities. The naval platform can accommodate 300 servicemen, up to 13 heavy vehicles, up to 20 medium vehicles, or up to 30 automotive vehicles.
Remarkable. The dimensions of the Project 11711E is much larger, but all other data like displacement, load capacity, range, etc are exactly the same as from the normal 11711. I think the data given are just incorrect.

According to Navalnews this will be the 14th Project 21980 for the Russian Navy. According to other sources there are already 20 active in the Russian Navy.

Russia already has not received any naval ship orders from other countries for a couple of years. The last ones, like the 5th and 6t Gepard class frigates for Vietnam and the Project 20380/2 class corvettes for Algeria are all cancelled. So this relatively modern and low cost corvette can have a positive impuls on the Russian defence export.

A nice comparison between the Project 885M Yasen-M and Virginia Block V classes.

Aspects such as sonar, sensors and stealth are hard to compare given the sensitive nature of these topics. Both submarines are believed to be extremely difficult to counter. The stand-off weapons however are a major component of the submarine’s punch, so this article is actually a comparison between the weaponloads of both classes.

The Project 11661 Gepard 3,9 design has become a little bit outdated and less attractive for the export market, so it is the right time to come with a more updated version.

At last an update about the overhaul and modernisation of the third Project 1144 Orlan battlecruiser, Admiral Nakhimov.

And it seems that the construction of the first Project 22350M heavy frigate will start in 2024. Production of the normal Project 22350 vessels #5 to #10 are probably still in progress in 2024, so it can be expected that the construction of both versions will be carried out side by side.

The Project 09852 Belgorod nuclear submarine that carries Poseidon unmanned underwater craft, as well as the Project 885M Novosibirsk and the Project 955A Knyaz Oleg nuclear submarines will complete acceptance trials by the end of the year.

The Belgorod was launched in April 2019 and will be handed over to GUGI, the Main Directorate of Deep-Sea Research, when sea trials are completed and readiness confirmed.

First Russian LHD (which recycle the name of previous Ivan Rogov large landing ships). Will be the flag ship of Black Sea fleet. This is what Russian plan with previous Mistral class (that now in Egypt Navy). In sense it take several years delay, but Russia seems will eventualy put LHD in Black Sea Fleet.

A lot of Russian naval developments, like often in the end of the year.

The third Project 636,3 submarine for the Pacific Fleet has been made operational with the Navy on 12 October this year. Numbers 4, 5 and 6 are under construction.

Quite large for a minelayer.

So this will be the 1st of the Project 11356 Talwar batch III frigates, and the 7th in this whole class.

The 4th Project 22160 corvette has started sea trials.

Again a test with the hypersonic Tsirkon.

But it also seems that the production for the Tsirkon missiles has started.

Project 12700 is one of the classes of the Russian Navy with the highest production rate. Now the 7th of the class, "Anatoly Shlemov" has been launched, with the 8th of the Alexandrit-class to follow next year.

This seems to be the arrival at Vladivostok today on 30 November 2021 of the Project 20385 Gremyashchy-class corvette Gremyashchy 337 (with Kalibr NK missiles) and the Project 636 submarines Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (B-274) and Volkhov (B-603).

A lot of nice but very cold pictures here.

Interesting infographics and a photo on the M90FR gas turbines for the navy. Installed on the two new 22350 frigates being built, plans to install in 20386, plans to go to series and eventual use in 22350M destroyers.

Project 1155 Admiral Vinogradov modernization order placed with the "Dalzavod". Modernization plans appear different from what was done on Shaposhnikov, but the resulting classification will still be Frigate. Plans to replace all armaments except the AK-630 artillery systems, which will be retained. The Kalibr missile system and the Paket anti-sub system, as well as modern electronic armaments are planned to be installed. Unspecified hull parts and cables are also planned for replacement. It was earlier stated, at the beginning of 2021, that the modernization of Vinogradov will last until 2024-2025. This announcement may be an indication that the engine was successfully repaired, or at least the presence of concrete plans with assured completion of repairs.

The Provorny (Agile) corvette being built at the Severnaya Verf (Northern Shipyard) was completely engulfed by flames, and nearly 170 firefighters were taking part in efforts to extinguish the blaze that sent massive plumes of smoke over Russia’s second-largest city.
