The Littoral Assault Craft (LAC) will become the new landing craft of the Korps Mariniers, replacing the current Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) vessels. The new boats are expected to enter service between 2026 and 2028.

Some Koninklijke Marine developments and updates.

The first ship of the new minehunters is delivered to the Ministry of Defence.

The new class of minehunters will become the mothership of these kind of USVs:

The Koninklijke Marine will equip the new Orkaklasse submatines with the Naval Group's F21 Mk 2 heavyweight torpedo, reversing an earlier plan to initially equip the boats with the existing US-supplied MK 48 Mod 7AT weapon.

Good to see a Navy prioritising mine hunting as it seems logical that the threat won't go away if not will expand with automation/ AI.

Just because it isn't sexy doesn't mean it can't mess you up big time.

De Belgische Zeemacht is starting to look for alternatives for the order for 2+1 Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF), because of the many delays and increases of the price tags. It will be the second large setback for Koninklijke Schelde (Damen Shipyards) this year, after the cancellation from the Deutsche Marine.

It is unclear how much of the parts/components/assemblies/systems are already built, but maybe the Netherlands can use them for their own order.
