Damen showcases OPV 2600 model tailored for the Pakistan Navy - Naval News

Dutch shipbuilder Damen unveiled a scale model of the OPV 2600 at the DIMDEX 2024 exhibition in Doha, Qatar.

Further news on Damen OPV 2600 version for Pakistan Navy. The Model is going to be different then original OPV 2600, especially in armament. Having SSM and VLS for AA Missiles, shown this is going to be closer to Corvette in function.

Pakistan Navy X shown video of the first Hangor class submarine launch. This is program for 8 Chinese Type 039B derivative which 4 build in China and 4 build in Pakistan Karachi Shipyard.

In February Karachi Shipyard conduct keel laying for the 2nd Hangor class submarine. Pakistan and Chinese forums talk on Pakistan want to update the Hangor design to Type 039C, However so far seems the design still base on Type 039B.

With 8 Submarine Pakistan basically try to match half of Indian Submarine. Thinking seems that's bade strategy that believe is enough, considering Pakistan only have to deal with less then Half waters of what India Navy need to maintain.
