@MJRelativo Welcome to the forum. We have a set of rules that we require all members to follow. We also get cranky when posters do a cut and paste, just as you have done, without commenting upon their post. We like added value and we want to know what YOU think about what you have just posted. Also you should read the Why "this vs that" platform discussions are unproductive and A brief history of LO because both are pertinent to this thread.

The WS-10B turbofan (derived from the CFM56 turbofan) fitted to low-rate initial production J-20s beginning in 2015 indeed isn't stealth-compatible, and because of Russia's refusal to sell more AL-31s to China unless the People's Liberation Army Air Force bought the Su-35 and setbacks during bench tests of the more advanced WS-15 turbofan, production J-20s were fitted with the stealth-friendly WS-10C variant of the WS-10. The WS-15 has entered production after having overcome problems in bench tests, and with the J-20 having made its first flight with the WS-15 last year, it'd be interesting to see the degree to which the WS-15 is compatible with stealth compared to the WS-10C.

Why the J-20 was designed with canards is puzzling, because the Sukhoi Su-57 lacks canards despite sharing with the J-20 conventional engine exhausts in sharp contrast to the 2-dimensional exhausts of the F-22 Raptor's F119 engines.
