TNI-AU Chief claim that A330 MRTT is a definite plan and only waiting for execution. In senss A330 MRTT is 'must' have assets, not only for cargo, tanker, but also command plane. The last one means can be configure for VIP + Communication.

Adapun produk alutsista buatan Airbus yang saat ini sudah dalam kontrak efektif dengan Pemerintah Indonesia adalah Heli Antikapal Selam (AKS); Helikopter angkut kelas berat, H225M; pesawat kargo bermesin Turboprop A-400 M; serta Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT).

This reminder as old X account from MinDef, say that A330 MRTT is already part of Airbus product that already in effective contract. Perhaps this is why TNI-AU Deputy Chief willing to say in media for imminent entry of MRTT. Alltough it is now seems other sales team still work hard for IL-78. Airbus team now seems regain momentum.
