the USV itself stays completely intact!
Because it is still simulated demonstration, the explosive is in the rig it self, and detonated when USV already veering off close by from the rig. It is only demonstrating the potential of the Kamikaze USV.

They also launch kamikaze UAV from SIGMA 9113 Corvette, just to shown TNI approach on kamikaze drones both Aerial and Sea Surfaces ones. They also shown drones as survailances

Point is, there are many voices especially from opposition camp that smeer TNI shooping spree as useless, because TNI does not developed Drones tech like Iran does (well clearly it is come from that faction side of opposition). I suspect the exercise also TNI public campaign to shown TNI abilities to integrate with latest trend in warfare.

Here a video posted by PAL.
The Type 209 has already an impressive range of 11.000 nm (20.372 km), but the Scorpène Evolved class seems to have an insane range of 18.000 nm (33.336 km), according to the specifications plate in the Navalnews article.

During the speech of the first steel cutting ceremony, the admiral claims that the submarines will be armed with torpedoes and missiles, but earlier reports tell that only future boats (the potential 3rd and 4th) will directly have this capability. Anyway, Antara reports that the first boat will be finished in around 96 months/8 years.

No the media really missquote what PAL CEO means. His point's out that in the first two, PAL does not include in the Missile launch installation modules. Thus he hopes in the next batch of two, PAL will be the one that doing missile launch module systems.

This shown in first two, NG will done installation on the modules and assembly toward the submarine later on. It does not mean the submarine will not have the modules. What need to be certain now whether the modules for launching SM-39 or SM-40 Submarine Exocet variance. Rumours say that for Scorpene Evo, NG will only offer SM-40 as this is what their packages is. Let's see what happen.

One month old, as this is TNI-AL official channel, shown their new and most complete Hydrograpfic Survey vessels. This Abekin-Rasmussen design vessels optimise got deep sea research. Getting complete map of overall sea bed of Indonesia water seems the vessels main function at this moment.

KRI Kerambit 627 intercepted a suspicious foreign vessels a couple of days ago near the Riau Islands in the western part of Indonesia. On board they found 65 large bags of narcotics, with a total weight of around 1,3 ton.

And Keris Reborn recently uploaded a picture of an old article from a Dutch newspaper. It is about the delivery of two Soviet made naval vessels. The newspaper claims these are two torpedobootjagers (=destroyers), but looking to the size and the superstructure, i am quite sure these are Type 191M gunboats.img_5_1786495110879.jpg

5 from 6 still operational, 1 already sunk as target during previous Sinkex. Personally I don't see the arrival of PPA and FMP going to replace them. Event if there will be 2nd batch of both PPA and FMP.

However if the light frigate like Istif or interim second hand frigates comes, then potentially those are the replacement. It is already seen before, as when 2 SIGMA 10514 Light Frigate enter, then 1 Van Speijk retired. So typical type of frigate that's being aim as replacement is those type of Frigates.

This has been heating up today, and TNI-AL confirm the exercise is simply Passex when KRI IGN passing the area on the way from Japan back to Jakarta. I don't agree with some analyst that this Passex can be diplomatic disaster with Tokyo and Manila let alone Taipei.

Japan also know that Indonesia has been maintaining balance on relationship. KRI IGN spend few days in Japan, and naturally when passing China, a Passex can be expected. Whether China push to done it near Taiwan, can not avoided as it is in route that IGN take toward back home. Most likely it is going to be view negatively by some media analysts and online ppl in Japan, Taiwan and Philippines. Japan plan to offer Asagiris as Interim Frigate also more as response toward China offer of Type 53H3.

It is also not going to change much with US.

Recent visit of US Under Secretary of War Policy (Hegseth deputy), basically shown Indonesia that the balancing act so far still workable.

This is the Passex that got strong diplomatic reaction from Taipei. TNI-AL addamant this is just simple Passex routinely done when they are passing through. PLAN shown this as prove that East Taiwan waters is part of their EEZ.

Some in here talked that TNI-AL can not have Passex with ROC Navy as Indonesia follow one China policy. Then it has to be done with PLAN. So far the uproar mostly come from Taiwan side and Philippines Media and online ppl.

Before conducting Passex with PLAN Frigate, KRI IGN conduct exercise with JMSDF Destroyer.

Before that with Russian Pacific Fleet for exercise Orruda 2026 (photo from TNI-AL).

In sense this Light Frigate conduct 3 exercise with 3 Navy on one trip. The last one that seems got the diplomatic nerve from Taiwan and negative Pinoy online media reaction.

HJaLp9QWIAEJIAn.jpgPhoto from TNI-AL on recent operation conducted by KRI Bung Hatta corvette. I do like the design simplycity of this corvette, and seems this and OPV 98 will be the replacement for some Parchim.

Still this photo also shown continue procurement problem with TNI. The idea of FFBNW is still on going, and I don't see it will end. The question on armament procurement taking second priority then platform with basic sensors and armament, are related toward budget realities and planning.

Because the top priority for many officials/top officers/politicians is to show off during military parades and ceremonies, national defence is for some of them on the second place. So as long there are some guns installed on those ships (=warship!), they can please and impress the dumb crowd, fanboys and 'journalists'. Well, at least the PPA's are already in Light+ configuration, and the 5th and 6th vessel of the KCR-60M Sampari class were also quite complete delivered, instead of the KRI Bung Karno and Bung Hatta 'missile corvettes', which only have some manually operated 4th hands guns, robbed from retired vessels.

I do believe more on the thinking of 'physical presences' more important then 'physical capabilities' still taking precedences. The believe that to have as many platform as possible is deterance already. Fullfillment for armament and munitions come later on.

This can translate toward show of force mentality for ceremonial parades but also number availabilities of platform in the waters. More platform with still minimum armament sooner is better then less platform with complete armament later on. That's why FFBNW practices will stay for some time in future.

This morning I put video from on Turkish Navy thread on Istif Frigate development from their yard. Now in Turkiye forum, there's explanation that in one enclose yard, they are building 2 FACM of Indonesia order, and 1 Istif Frigate on Turkiye Navy line that will be sold to Indonesia.

As mention from time to time, it is similar procurement process with PPA from Marina Militare.

Circulating online on development of KRI Belati sister ships at their yard Tesco Indomaritim. Previous photo shown 3 Belati Class KCR/FCM being build. In my opinion it is better KCR design then PAL KCR 60 Sampari Class.

KRI Belati is quite different procurement as it is not FFBNW but total package with armament on the contract. Will see if it is going to be repeat on the sisters.

There are plans to sell the retired KRI Ki Hajar Dewantara 364. The first 1:26 can be skipped, a computer voice explains exactly the same what is later told by real humans.

And here a video from PAL about the shiplift.

That's why from what I heard it is easier to discard retired naval assets as target in Sinkex, then handle bureaucracy up to Parliament for selling them as scrap metal. No wonder TNI-AL lately doing more Sinkex then usual.

Indonesia research agency BRIN and PT. PAL in discussion on using BRIN SMR design for maritime purpose. Few years back there's also cooperation between MinDef and Thorcon to use their 50mw molten salt reactor design toward maritime use.

There are two concept of nuclear reactor use that PAL envisage according their sources. One for floating power platform for outer islands power generation. This before was being seriously talk with Thorcon, altough not much development with Thorcon later on. In 2019 the agreement is for developing ship to be mated with Thorcon 500MW molten salt reactor design for power generation.

The other is for naval vessels propulsion. This path also use by Brazil on developing their own SSN base on development of Scorpene design. Will PAL follow Brazil on using Scorpene design for their own SSN ? France use low enrich uranium fuel on their SSN, and not military grade fuel as US do. This means their naval design can be more adjusted for commercial design reactor that also use low enrich uranium as fuel.
