Because it is still simulated demonstration, the explosive is in the rig it self, and detonated when USV already veering off close by from the rig. It is only demonstrating the potential of the Kamikaze USV.the USV itself stays completely intact!
Here a video posted by PAL.More photos
No the media really missquote what PAL CEO means. His point's out that in the first two, PAL does not include in the Missile launch installation modules. Thus he hopes in the next batch of two, PAL will be the one that doing missile launch module systems.but earlier reports tell that only future boats (the potential 3rd and 4th) will directly have this capability.

Photo from TNI-AL on recent operation conducted by KRI Bung Hatta corvette. I do like the design simplycity of this corvette, and seems this and OPV 98 will be the replacement for some Parchim.Because the top priority for many officials/top officers/politicians is to show off during military parades and ceremonies, national defence is for some of them on the second place. So as long there are some guns installed on those ships (=warship!), they can please and impress the dumb crowd, fanboys and 'journalists'. Well, at least the PPA's are already in Light+ configuration, and the 5th and 6th vessel of the KCR-60M Sampari class were also quite complete delivered, instead of the KRI Bung Karno and Bung Hatta 'missile corvettes', which only have some manually operated 4th hands guns, robbed from retired vessels.View attachment 55407Photo from TNI-AL on recent operation conducted by KRI Bung Hatta corvette. Still this photo also shown continue procurement problem with TNI. The idea of FFBNW is still on going, and I don't see it will end. The question on armament procurement taking second priority then platform with basic sensors and armament, are related toward budget realities and planning.
I do believe more on the thinking of 'physical presences' more important then 'physical capabilities' still taking precedences. The believe that to have as many platform as possible is deterance already. Fullfillment for armament and munitions come later on.Because the top priority for many officials/top officers/politicians is to show off during military parades and ceremonies, national defence is for some of them on the second place.
