Norfolk, Va. (June 6, 2006) - Families wave goodbye as the Sailors aboard the amphibious transport ship USS Nashville (LPD 13) and the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) departs Naval Station Norfolk. Iwo Jima ESG will deploy for six months in support of the global war on terrorism, as well as conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the region.
