F-14 Tomcat - Final Deployment

Persian Gulf (Jan. 15, 2006) - An F-14D Tomcat assigned to the "Tomcatters" of Fighter Squadron Three One (VF-31) sits parked on the flight deck aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). VF-31 is one of two Tomcat squadrons deployed aboard Theodore Roosevelt, and is nearing completion of the last operational deployment of the F-14. The Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment conducting maritime security operations, and support to the Global War on Terror.
