Reports the planes that flew in to rescue the Americans on the ground, after the MC-130s got bogged, were Airbus C-295s.
I have never heard of the US operating any of these.
May be a case of mistaken identity as the US does operate CN-235s in small numbers and they look very similiar.
Presumably chosen as they are much lighter than the MC-130s and less likely to get bogged.

The War Zone stating there appears to be the wreckage of two Little Birds, either MH-6s or AH-6s at the crash site.

So likely tally of aircraft lossed/damaged in this rescue are.
Two MC-130Js destroyed.
Two AH-6s/Mh-6s destroyed.
One A-10 shot down.
Two HH-60H CSAR Helicopters damaged but managed to fly out of Iran.
Plus or Minus second A-10 which may have been damaged but able to get to Kuwait to land.
I think that second damaged A-10 that presumably made to Kuwait is very questionable - that is, it probably didn’t happen.

Could well be some confusion and there was only a single A-10 hit. Impossible to know for sure unless the US admits it.

Interestingly, ABC News USA is reporting, US Officials tell them 2 C-130s were intentionally destroyed along with
FOUR MH-6 Little Birds, not two as previously thought.

China is probably the most useless „superpower“ in the world right now. At a critical time when some counterbalance is necessary to stop this madness, China is continuing their usual „do nothing strategy.

Also I remember social media piosts before the election from teenagers that went „us in WW3 when our girlfriends voted for Kamala“. Wonder how that‘s turning out for them.

So 8 PM Eastern Time tomorrow (today, I guess) is the deadline for the deal and then he “will blow everything up” if there is no deal. Crazy stuff, but here we are. The man sounds desperate, so he will either give up or do something very stupid. The bet is, of course, on the latter. The deadline is on a trading day, so another extension is more than likely (not sure what the exercise is for though). The market is flat, the oil keeps climbing up. Delay to next week, strike on Friday evening, hope all works out by Monday? Sounds like a dumb plan so it probably isn’t. I guess one way to open the strait is make it irrelevant by destroying the infrastructure producing the exports. Bet on Iran being unable to do the damage it promises before being bombed into submission? Dumb plan again. Some kind of deal has to be made to find a way out.

Trump said that Iranian people want this to happen. He said that they worry when the bombs stop dropping, not when they keep falling. One begs to question whether he believes it himself or just feeds the garbage down the pipe. Either way, this is indicative. Iranians keep trolling:

Whoever makes the movie about all this in years to come, these scenes are must-haves:

“I am good at language” Yeah, that would be one and he can hardly speak it. There is an occasional desire to slap myself into waking up… if only it was a dream though.

I smell a book deal and a Hollywood adaption coming soon.

It does seem to confirm the loss of a single A-10 during the rescue of the first downed pilot and also the appearance of USAF's C-295Ws. Other information suggest the loss of the F-15E was due to MANPAD.

Those articles would be so much better if they don‘t quote Trump. You are reading all the incredible technical details and then all of a sudden rambling of a moron shows up that takes up an entire paragraph.

Market is flat. Oil is flat. While everyone is waiting, the US and Israel are bombing Iranian infrastructure, including hyped bridges (Israelis said they struck 8 today). Trump is basically providing cover while the actual campaign is taking place. My guess is, and I hope I am right, nothing else will happen in… 3.75 hours?

Euros are quietly monitoring “the situation in Iran” and subtly calling for Iran to stop attacking the Gulf, lol.

Also, for the book/movie:

Am I the only one noticing that the president is making serious potentially history changing announcements while he is sitting next to a giant rabbit and promoting MAGA merchandise?

Who is in the rabbit suit anyway? Probably JD Vance trying to avoid being associated with this whole sh@tshow.

Do you have any proof of that or you just assume that they don't fight for King & Country?

Edit:
Maybe they could assault the Congress, instead.
How about common sense. Perhaps you want to martyr yourself for the moronic ayatollahs, I seriously doubt most Iranians want to!

JD is probably salivating over a possible 25th application. :p

It appears a 2-week ceasefire has been agreed upon with some sort of opening of the Hormuz during the ceasefire. It's still not clear if this is the end, or just a pause.
