Indeed but I was merely curious about how the troops find it from their personal perspectives.It's also not really a matter of popularity. It's a standard issue piece of kit, and is used whenever deemed useful.
That would come from helmets with no covers fitted and from human skin; can be mitigated with helmet covers and face camo cream.and prevented any odd reflections, which applies in any form of terrain
Not Israeli but in general. Most helmet covers have some means of attaching Ghillie kits. Some makers make dedicated Ghillie covers.To me it's a very useful piece of kit. Why something similar has not been adopted elsewhere is the question
