Israel will strike deep across all borders. They'll meet us in Gaza, the West Bank and hit us anywhere across the Middle East.

The IDF will take out Egypt in 60 minutes - they won't even have to strike. them. Saudi, 20 minutes later. And when you count them, Iran is over.

I’ve heard from US and British offices that quote: “It’s not that the Israeli Air Force is so good….. it’s that the Arab Air Forces are so bad….”

Just a comment. We tend to shy away from declarations of who's "best" for given things. Such declarations often lead to nationalistic rhetoric and/or nation-bashing that is long on emotion and short on facts. Also, there is nothing simple about what makes a given force "good" at something, nevermind "best."

i think the british said that just couse Israel shoot down one of thier planes in 1948.

i can understand that Arab forces are not as good as other air forces, but how can you explain that Israel shoot down at least 6 Russian pilots, yet did not soffer any loses from Russian pilots?

your saying that Russians are bad pilots?
and that British are bad pilots?

one British aircraf was shoot down in 1948, the British were spying on Israel and gave the info to Arab forces.

1 Russian pilot(at least) was shoot down in the six day war.
5 Russian pilots were shoot down in 1970, Russian pilots were helping Egypt in the War of Attrition, 2 Russian MIG's shoot an Israeli jet, they claim they shoot it down, the IAF claims it did an emerjency landing in a nearby field, in response, 2 weeks later the IAF put togther 12 "aces" and ambushed Russian pilots, 4 were shoot down and a fifth went down on the way back, 2 Russian pilots died.

Yeah well israel pilots are first class , British and Russians are good too , but it all depends on many things

No, they were not aiding the Arabs. The RAF shot down 5 Egyptian Spitfires in 1948 when the REAF strafed an RAF base, which hardly suggests close co-operation.

I have to agree.

Of all the leading Arab nations, Britain's relations with Egypt have always been at best 'cordial'. Aiding their military effort - especially in the late 1940s-early 1950s is very speculative in my opinion. If you have any evidence to the contrary however, I would be happy to read it.

I think that the isreal air force belives in quality that quantity.
but, now they must concentrate on increase their fleet.
They should not solely depend on american planes, though america a depandable
partner for isreal, they should not rule out the possible procurement of russian planes as it will add sheen into its air force.:p:

i dont know if they were aiding Egypt but maybe Jordan, the RAF plane was a recon plane, in 1949 5 more British recon spitfire's were
shoot down, all 6 were spying on Israel, the first one was spying on an Israeli air base, the other 5 were shoot down above the Israeli-Egyptian border, you need to remmember that in that time the British aided Jordan.
