I understand that SOSUS was a network of underwater hydrophone arrays that was used to detect Soviet submarines during the Cold War.

Where were the nets located?

Did it really run from Greenland to Iceland to Scotland?

I doubt whether there is more information released than what Wiki has. Information about SOSUS was at one time very classified, a top secret. There is a reason why submariners are called the silent service.

But the Greenland, Iceland, UK gap was a vital choke point during the Cold War.
