Never really heard about a "Snapshot Strategy", can you share any references to the same, google was not revealing either. Even the cold start doctrine is currently as i understand it on the back burner

I heard about this but couldn't get any information on internet.. that's why asking here... but this is for sure that It is linked with cold start doctrine. you are right to some extent that cold start is on back burner but reason for that is the infrastructure for logistic support needed there. once India will improve on that, they will surely get it implemented...
