Russia completes flight tests of 4 MiG-27 warplanes for Serbia

I saw this article about Mig-27s for the Serb Air Force and had a few questions. The article doesn't give a lot of information and was wondering if anybody knew the specs to the four upgraded Mig-27's. I know the Mig-27 is a ground attack aircraft and can't turn and burn with modern fighters but put a modern radar a couple AA-12s, HMS AA-11, and you got yourself a low cost fighter. At least you keep some crews active right?

Not reported correctly

I read in other places that this article didn't report the story correctly. I didn't come across anything that I could post a link to but I think they meant Mig-29s.

Mig-27

From what I know Russia doesn't operate any single engine fighter or attack aircraft anymore.

Retired

It was retired in the early 90s I believe to cut cost. That was a rough period for Russia's AF and they needed to cut down not only the size of the their fleet but also types. I Google it but couldn't nail down an exact date just the early 90s. Sri Lankan and India might be the only two current users left maybe a African country but nothing comes to mind off the top off my head. Hope that helps a little I'm sure the information you want can be found.
