The new north Korean mobile medium range ballistic missile debuted at the 100th anniversary parade has been declared likely a fake. This is due to the this sheet metal that makes up the reentry vehicle which is not thick enough to survive reentry.

A source for this would be nice. Also the proper usage of spelling and punctuation in your title would help with your posts been taken seriously. This is a forum with professional standards. Lift your game mate.

I saw several main stream articles stating this and the actual photos would support it, you can actually see the ripples in the metal where it is so flimsy. Not only would it not survive re-entry, it would not survive the launch.

Still, would you actually place a missile that is secret on display if you really had one?

The launch vehicle was also new, and that wasn't fake. That vehicle is designed to launch something big. The launcher does appears to be, or is very closely based on a Chinese WS51200 or Belorussian MAZ-79221. It raises the question of how these ended up in North Korea as sanctions would prevent this. Why? because you cannot sell missile tech to the North Koreans and because the darn engine is made by Cummins Inc, a U.S. company, and as such cannot be sold legally to the NK's either. How close are these launcher vehicles to the Chinese WS51200 TEL? Hubei Sanjiang Space Wanshan Special Vehicle company isn't even attempting to hide the fact that they sold these units, proclaiming the "Customers" satisfaction with delivery on their company website (湖北三江航天万山特ç§è½¦è¾†æœ‰é™å…¬å¸)

Anyway, a good write up can be found here. It adds a bit more detail into the mock ups shown in NK's parade and how the military and intelligence community knows these are fake.
