It think it's less about comparing the cost of the system to the cost of the inbound rockets and more about comparing the cost of the system vs. the cost of the damage and problems caused by said rockets. Also consider the relative weakness of the party launching these rockets, and the inevitable Israeli strike against those launching them. Are they counting in Iron Dome to actually be their primary means of dealing with rocket attacks, or merely the shield that blocks one or two strikes, while the sword decapitates the attacker?Interesting but to be honest I think cheap home made rockets could overwhelm this system and furthermore it cost about about $50000 per missile and it takes 2 missiles to intercept a rocket. Though it is still good to protect key sites if it's not a salvo attack
