How to defend against an already launched cyberattack?

    Well, ive been wondering fro such a time. Please dont hold yourself to call me a newbie here. Im just needing answers.

    Ok.


    So if the US or any other country buys a piece of equipment that has a file containing a virus. And someone from the military opens it in their military server, and the virus spreads, which enables the hackers to start their work.

    So will factories close down by the hackers? Will financial institutions go bankrupt? So how can the US or any other country destroy this act?
