I need to find a sailor from the RAN who I can talk to so I can have a better understanding of the Navy life. I'm going for my interview assessment in joining the Navy. I just did my JOES in Brisbane.

I would try any Australian navy base. You're sure to find a sailor there, unless it's after 3.00pm on a Friday.

There is no Navy Base in south-east Queensland.

Sorry, my ESP has been a little out of tune lately and I missed the bit about you wanting to find Navy guys in SE QLD. :

I'm sure there's a recruitment centre in Brisbane, and I'd also be willing to bet there are some Navy helo/UAV guys at Ennogera Barracks and Oakey, as well as some Navy CSG and ATC elements at Amberley as well.

Also, instead of Oxford Street, try Fortitude Valley!
