Hi I was hopping someone on here could tell me if it would be possible to use uav technology to datalink the work stations of future awacs/jstars aircraft. what I'm trying to ask do the operators need to actually be in the aircraft or could they work from the ground.

China now has an operational unmanned AWACS vehicle, the Divine Eagle. The Ukraine is also testing its own AWACS UAV, the Gekata.

Given that Taiwan has its own jet fighters, it'd be interesting to see if the Divine Eagle would efficiently relay warnings to Chengdu J-10s and J-20s of an incoming wave of jet fighters of the Republic of China Air Force in the event of Beijing choosing to invade Taiwan.
