Oh. Ok. I meant they purchased 100. So there is a political issue on the Russian side?

I really do not know what the issue would be, lets face it they are only BTR 80 vehicles. But the Columbians seemed to be concerned that they will have to go to another source for the vehicles still needed and have reached out to secure additional vehicles if further delays or if a complete cut off occurs.

So it looks like Venezuela is getting 92 T-72M1M and 240 BMP-3 and BTR-80 APCs. What the breakdown between those two may be is unclear. They are allegedly destined for a new unit, the 25th Mech Infantry Bde, in the 2nd Infantry Div. The25th Mech Infantry Bde is supposed to be formed this year.

This comes on top of earlier claims that the S-300PMU2s that were destined for Iran are now going to VZ. It looks like they're continuing to re-arm. It will be interesting to see if the Smerch purchase, talked about earlier, went through/will go through.

To update on this, Venezuela just received a delivery of 35 T-72B1 tanks, 16 BMP-3, 32 BTR-80A, 24 BM-21 Grad, 4 arty observation and command vehicles on BTR-80 chassis, 13 2S23 Nona-SVK 120mm mortars on BTR-80 chassis, 24 Sani mortars, and a number of trucks and ZU-23-2 AAA.

EDIT: Venezuela is also getting the Pechora-2M mod of the S-125 (upgraded to truck-mounted twin launchers, upgraded FCS), and 300 of the Zu-23/30M1-4 which includes a modern FCS with a infra-red and TV camera, laser range finder, and a digital calculator.

Apparently Venezuela will take delivery of Bal-E coastal AShMs. They carry Kh-35U missiles, with an engagement range of 120 km. There is some speculation that the Club-M is also on the shopping list, but nothing concrete has been signed about it so far. It's also unclear how many units are being delivered.
