Bad news for Baltimore residents. Over 11 million vehicle crossings per year and it will be months or more likely years before the bridge can be replaced. Apparently some bulk carriers will be stuck in the harbour until wreckage is cleared but no other container ships were in port. Fortunately the Mayday call allowed police time to keep most vehicles off the bridge. Sadly several people are missing.
