That's what Link ID suppose to do, and that's what also common gateway system that Scytalys build should accomodate. However this is also means abilities to connect different source codes. Thus the willingness from the OEM to give access also crucials.

MBG and Kopdes (Village Cooperative) are part of subsidies program. Subsidies program, from direct cash ones to fuel subsidies always taken big chunck of government budget. However it will never going away, cause any administrations political survival depends on it.

The budget changes to multiyear financing allocations that being done since the end of SBY era, is the best middle ground, facing budgetary limitation and realism.

One subsidy program being cut (like from fuel), the balance will go to other subsidies program. They will not going to use to other government program. Like this MBG, many netizen in Indonesia claim it cut other government program, like education etc. That's actually not how it work, it cut other subsidies that usually benefit middle class like fuel and electricities. Basically middle class subsidies braket being reduce to give to program aim to lower class, including this MBG and Kopdes.

Thus if MBG being cut, it will find ways to other subsidies, and not to other government program including defense.

If the budget for subsidies is spent correctly, and not to useless things like military training for Kopdes participants, 105.000 pickup trucks directly imported from India for Kopdes and more than 25.000 electric motorcycles from an unknown chinese brand for the MBG-program, then the budget for subsidies can be cut by maybe 50% or something.

And now there are plans for other stupid ideas, like free smartphones give-away programs.

It is better to spend some of the budget to build prisons for corruptors and people who causing those huge forest fires.

But, that's what my point in here say:

Thus if MBG being cut, it will find ways to other subsidies, and not to other government program including defense.
They will find other subsidies program, especially aim to 'lower class'. Once they set the fund allocation for subsidies program, then it will stay move around between one subsidy program to another. If they cut one program, they will find another subsidy program.

This already happen for decades since Soeharto time until now. Because all this 'reformasi/demokrasi' regimes learn from New Order. You keep subsidy running well, your political fortune stay. Soeharto will not fall if he can keep economy going through, along with well manage subsidy program. He as dictactor slip in this effort on his last years. His opponents (more likely his turn coat lackeys) use the oppprtunity in the name of democracy to pull him down.
