Ouch.........that wasn't exactly what I had in mind for the best air-drops.

Air-dropping vehicle is alot more difficult than dropping anything else. U.S once held a exercise in the 1970's. They dropped Sheridan tanks on a state highway to see if airborne troops can quickly deploy their armor to combat zones. If I remember correctly they dropped 7 tanks in total, only 4 was intact enough to be operational.

air dropping of tanks or other vehicles is really a difficult thing, but US exercise it, recently they demonstrate this dropping in the exercise of ALASKA

The RAAF practises it with it's most recent large drop being Exercise Arnhem 04, earlier this year where they droped artilley pieces and Land Rover vehicles. I don't know if they've practised dropping armour recently but it wouldn't surprise me. I know they've practised airlifting armour recently...
