UCAVs for India

Often what i have noticed is that Indian millitary operations cost a lot young lives whether in local conflicts or counter-terrorism ops, or counter-insurgency ops or anti-naxal activities or even border conflicts(localised) apart from instances like the Kargil Conflict. UCAVs would great assets in such instances to provide not only credible battlefield information and to give millitary commanders situational awareness but also would help through low flying missions for precise attacking fortified but small bunkers etc.

Apart from the anti-radar/radar-site attacking Israeli Harpy UAV India does not have any UCAVs in its arsenal. India should atleast have squadron stregth with the Air Force (hey the US uses one for it's Border Patrol Agency against mexican illegal immigrants ) - Comments/ inputs anyone ??

P.S - I had raised the same issue inside another thread - i feel a seperate thread was imp

As you can now see that creating multiple threads on single subject completely diminishes members' interest to discuss any topic related to that subject. Since multiple threads have been created on Indian Air Force no one is willing to discuss much on them. For this reason we had created a separate IAF thread so all members can find multiple information in a single place.

From here on discuss all IAF related topics in the relavent thread.

Thank you!
