They Marched into Sunlight is a book written by Pulitzer Prize winner and bestselling author David Maraniss, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for History in 2004 and won the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize. It is also being made into a feature film by Universal Pictures, set for release in 2013.
The book centers around the Battle of Ong Thanh and a protest at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Film adaptation
Both Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman have the rights for making a feature film version of Maraniss's book. Their production company Playtone is very interested in having Paul Greengrass (United 93, The Bourne Ultimatum) as director of the project, besides of re-writing J. Michael Straczynski's first draft. Universal Pictures is expecting to release the film in 2013.
