India is aiming at a technology demonstrator for Reusable Launch Vehicle in the 2015 time frame and gear itself up for planetary explorations using air breathing engines with Two Stage To Orbit (TSTO) launchers by 2025.

Unveiling the road map for the future space ventures, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman G Madhavan Nair, delivering Prof Brahm Prakash Memorial Lecture on ''India's advanced space missions-challenges in materials development,'' said that after proving the country's capability to build and launch satellites, it was time for India to have long-term research and development to look in for reusability and recovery of next generation vehicles. This would ''enormously save'' cost.
