Which is better? F-22A Raptor or Saegheh (comparable to F/A-18E/F Superhornet)?

With 300 indigenious Saegheh, equipped with AESA radar comparable to APG-79, Iran's air force is unbreakable!!! And, has 2 engines capable of mach 2 and BVR air to air missiles comparable to AIM-120C-5 and with advanced ECM and cockpit and autopilot and limited stealth comparable to F/A-18E/F Superhornet!!!!! And has anti-ship missile comparable to Harpoon Block 2. As an Iranian, I am super proud of my country's accomplishments with the Saegheh!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but what in hell is Saegheh?
And please define your question more precisous.
It's our air force's newest indegenious fighter comparable to F/A-18E/F Superhornet and mass produced and operational to deter any other air force in the world and I am so proud of my country the night I found out about it (last night) I did not sleep for a whole night. I was partying with my friends the whole night. We were really excited!

I would imagine any sort of F/A-18 copy going up against the F-22A would have it's arse handed to it in short order, especially given the difference in training and situational awareness between the US and Iranian Air Forces.

For my money the Saeghehs would start mysteriously blowing up and continue to do so till the Raptor pilots ran out of things to swat them with.

Saegheh, is not F-18 nor is it as capable as F-18. The initial reports that came out were later corrected as Saegheh is based on F-5 rather than F-18, having a dogs tale on a monkey, doesn't make the monkey a dog.

Now to the question, F-22A RAPTOR vs Saegheh?

You are kidding right? F-22? vs. a fighter based on F-5, which we know so little about as far as upgrades and weapons? It may fly on Iran defence and other "post" hungry forums to get people to post but not here.

The last link your post has a lot of other stuff which you may want to look at before establishing any credibility for yourself and others. ;)

The rule about "this vs that" threads:

I am getting a little tired of these this vs that threads and it is especially frustrating when the user opening the threads does not provide ANY personal input (technical or and outline of how user understands the weapon system/subject topic) on the topic whatsoever other than an open ended question or statement.

I guess we need rules on "this vs that" threads? Yes, only on DefenceTalk!

Here it goes, when opening "this vs that" thread, keep this in mind:

1. -Provide YOUR OWN input, detail it and show that you've studied both (this and that) extensively
2. -tell us WHY you think one is better than the other...
3. -Use references to support your argument, if you can't find a reliable source then use wikipedia. Sorry. Don't merely rely on the references to make up your post.
4. -Ask questions and put forth a detailed argument so that others are forced to reply to your opinion

Please remember for future reference.

Thank you and enjoy!
