Brasil FX-3 Tender

Anyone surprised at Brasil decission to go for a new tender?

The Su-35S is reported to have entered the tender again, but i have a feeling it will be one of the first fighters to fall through.. yet again.
Or perhaps not:)
Now that RuAF has signed a deal on Su-35S, it could help secure a sober fly-away price on any export deal from Russia.
Brasil is a huge country with a lot of sea area to patrol and they don't have any tanker capacity.. could the Su-35S exellent on-station duration have a say?

Anyway.
I think the soon to be outcome of the Indian MMRCA tender is a direct reason for this new FX-3 tender.

Anyone?

Wasn't F-X3 launched almost a week back ? Often big purchases by India boost the sales of the equipment ( tested on all terrains, politically neutral, and possibility of upgrades initiated by Indians), like it did to Su-30.

Well the first time around the Su-35S wasn't even in production. I guess it remains to be seen. Brazil did buy the Mi-35M, and has indicated an interest in Russian equipment.
