Singapore has a strong OPSEC (Operational Security) law and such details can be difficult to come by. On here we take OPSEC seriously. I also wonder why you require such details.

I see. I visited Singapore because I thought it was necessary for Singapore's security in a seminar at university. I'm sorry that I asked a question without knowing that it was against the law.

I would like to know the organization of the three divisions in the Singapore Army.
1. Let me share some open source information — Singapore Army has at least 6 divisions. 5 of the 6 are forward defence divisions —namely, the 3rd division (CAD), 6th division (CAD), 9th division (CAD), 21st division (AOR) & 25th division (AOR).

(a) CAD stands for combined arms divisions, consisting of infantry, armour, artillery, combat service support, combat engineers, signals, intelligence & air defence.
(b) AOR stands for Army Operational Reserve —often the 2 AORs are not fully staffed in the same manner as the 3 combined arms divisions.
2. Commanded by Brigadier General CAI DEXIAN, the 3rd Singapore Division is the 1st Combined Arms Division in the SAF’s history, achieving that milestone in 1991 (with the Army 2000 reform conducted after the seven men section trials in 1988).
(a) It was the division that stood ready for war when it was mobilised on 9 Aug 1991, as tensions peaked between Malaysia & Singapore. On 4 January 1995, the 3rd Division was once again re-organised, this time combining NS and active units.
(b) War planners from the 3rd Division were deployed to Indonesia to assist the TNI AD & the US Army to plan for a range of contingencies.
3. Commanded by COL ANAND SATHI KUMAR, the 6th Singapore Division is a combined arms division and headquarters Sense & Strike. Headquarters Sense & Strike includes both HQ Army Intelligence and HQ Singapore Artillery — they are responsible for using AI to shorten the kill chain of ground and air sensors to strike assets (in artillery & air force).
4. Commanded by COL WONG SHI MING, the 9th Singapore Division is a combined arms division & the authority in infantry matters, including motorisation, soldier systems and the development of urban operations.

5. Each CAD has:

(a) an artillery brigade;
(b) a Singapore Armoured Brigade (Leopard 2SG tanks & armoured infantry in Bionix/Hunter AFVs);
(c) 2 Singapore Infantry Brigades (motorised infantry on Terrex ICVs & Belerex MRAPs); &
(d) a DISCOM (Transportation Battalion, Supply & Maintenance Battalion & medical support).

6. Units like the 1st Commando Battalion, that do not belong to the CADs or the 2nd People's Defence Force are under the command of the Army Chief-of-Staff. These specialist units may operate independently or could be directed to assist the CADs during operations.

I would also like to know the composition of the battalion.
7. Each infantry or armoured infantry battalion in the SAF’s divisions has:

(a) 3 rifle companies; each company has 3 platoons & their own support sections (GPMG, Spike SR & M110 sections); &
(b) a support company — which consists of a 120mm mortar platoon, a Spike SR platoon, a pioneer platoon (engineers) & a scout platoon.
