We got 3 days of leave. Unfortunately they were Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (Wednesday afternoon liberty was secured). It wasn't exactly "shore leave" since we weren't on ships to begin with, we flew into the country. Anyways, since it was those days clubs were closed and bars were semi-empty. But yes beer was cheap. I particularly liked their local liqour: Vana Talinn (Old Talinn).

well, should you happen around here next time, give me heads up. At least beer would be free for you, can´t really stand Vana Tallinn, but it´s a sacrifice i´m willing to make
