Growing aircraft from molecules

BAE and a British researcher are working on a new methodology for creating aircraft parts and aircraft by growing the parts from molecules instead of 3D printing as happens at the moment. This looks like quite an exciting development and the article states that it can be quite quick compared to current build times. It states that it could be possible to build complete aircraft using this methodology, although this will be some time off.
