Unfortunately, need to close off political forums has come. Even though Defencetalk.com is intended to be Military and Defence Issues website, we thought if we also have political section to stimulate military and strategic debate; it would work out. Sadly, it did not as we hoped it would.
Starting tonight at 12 AM EST, everything under this category will be shut down:

DefenceTalk is not a political website nor does it have any intentions of becoming one. Its a military / Defence issues website and we intend to keep it that way. From now on, there will be discussions in Military forums only and about military needs, equipment and strategies of world countries.
We may open political forums at a later time (don't expect anything in atleast 3-6 months) when we have enough participants to build up all sections and not just Asian. Frankly, I am sick and tired of seeing Indian and Pakistani topics and more so sick and tired of young kids with blind sense of pride and nationalism just ruining each thread without purpose with their one line posts and flame baits against each other's countries - mod team feels the same.
Now that only military discussions will be allowed and discussed - we will see what these kids really have to say or discuss about various military equipment, military issues and strategies.
I hope everyone understand this from our viewpoint as we work towards making DefenceTalk what it is meant to be - a pure military and defence issue website and not a political platform for Indians and Pakistanis to take jabs at each other under DT's international image.
