Three shots of visitors and NZ6001 at Ohakea some time at the end of 1945 till not sure.
The Seafire is from HMS Indefatigable which was visiting the area at the time. The one of the Avro York I think is a lot later maybe in the early 50's. Not sure about the Meteor.

These are the last from album number 2 of my late Father. There are a few more but they are too tiny to copy and very grainy. So no more

Think that may have been the Avro York that brought the NZ PM Peter Fraser back from the UN conference in San Francisco in 1945 where the UN Charter was signed. The Seafire would've been off the RN carrier HMS Indefatigable when it visited Wellington in November 1945. The Meteor is NZ6001, given to NZ by the UK to trial as a fighter for the RNZAF.

Thank you for your details. I do have another photo of a York but in a CAM finish pulling up outside the hanger that 75 sqn had, that's what made me think that this one was later.

If I had a better scanner or facility to copy the small ones I have, then you would have a whole photo album ranging from the Fulmar's on the RN Carrier to a parade of about twenty P40's and Avengers but as I said they were too tiny to copy

Well it could be then, because apparently there were a few York visits here. Field Marshall Montgomery came out for a tour so he may have came on one, Admiral The Earl Mountbatten was here on one, but that one wasn't his.
