USS Cole returns DDG 67 - Guided Missile Destroyer - US Navy

Naval Station Norfolk, Va. (Apr. 25, 2002) -- Family and friends of the ship’s crew welcome home USS Cole (DDG 67) upon a return to her homeport. The Cole has been at the Northrop Grumman Ship System facility in Pascagoula, MS., for the past 14 months undergoing repairs after a terrorist bomb blew a hole in her port side while refueling in the port city of Aden, Yemen, killing 17 sailors.
