RNZN Projector Protector IPV1 Rotoiti.
Four IPVs are being built at Whangarei. They will conduct maritime surveillance in support of civil agencies in the littoral area to approx 24 nautical miles off shore. The IPVâs are based on a Tenix-designed search and rescue vessel in service with the Philippines Coast Guard. The IPVs will be delivered throughout 2007. ROTOITI will be affiliated to the Napier/Hawkes Bay region.
