MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 10, 2009) A deck department Sailor assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) guides the driver of a Marine medium tactical vehicle replacement (MTVR) from Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1656 to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2 during a stern gate marriage offload evolution off the shores of Alexandria, Egypt during Bright Star 2009. Bright Star is a biennial, multinational exercise conducted by U.S. Central Command. The exercise is designed to improve readiness, interoperability, and to strengthen military and professional relationships among U.S., Egyptian and several other Coalition forces.
