Guided missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79)

Atlantic Ocean (Oct. 28, 2002) -- The guided missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79) steams off the coast of Florida, while underway with the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Battle Group during a Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFEX). Guided missile destroyers operate in support of carrier battle groups, surface action, amphibious and replenishment groups and are multi-mission, anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare combatants.
