I need to find information about this missile engines. this missiles used solid and liquid engines to launched from submarine.

do you can help me to find this information?

Use Google. Go to the Advanced Search, enter your search terms, then scroll down to file type: and select Adobe Acrobat PDF (.pdf), that will narrow your search to mainly documents and eliminate most the boards.

Then try refining your search terms further. Exclusions are useful for eliminating things like games.

See https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/136861?p=adv_operators&hl=en for help in parsing the search string directly, it lets you use tricks that simply using the ‘search window’ will not accommodate.

you're not going to get much detail beyond a wiki level of information as understandably, nobody will be publishing critical detail

if you want to understand about the history of SLBM and the early problems then I'd do some research on Adm Rickover - as it was on his watch that they discovered all the early problems with launch solutions, breaching, water dynamics issues etc....

the above will cover everything off on concepts and the early development problems, the material will be over 60 years old but it's not dated

Any recommendations on a book on Rickover? I keep meaning to get something but if anyone has a recommended title, that'd be useful.

Looking into Edward Hall may help a little as well. He pioneered the American rocket/missile engines. Worked extensively on the liquid fuel engine design & then went on to develop/invent solid fuel engine. Some of his work may cover you general introduction.

Thanks to both of you - I'll try and snag something ready for when I've finished Vanguard to Trident (I'm reading it in tiny chunks because it's too depressing!)

The actual "engines" for initial propulsion for SLBM as not part of the actual missile, (at least not on Ohio class, cant speak for other classes) and the actual missile will not ignite until after the missile has cleared the hull elsewise you would fuse the hatches shut on the deck next to the one that had just launched. I'm not sure how much detail your looking for but I'll ask around to the guys from the sub to see if they know of anything specific thats unclassed and avail in a public format. For a very general wiki serch look up solid fuel rocket and just look around there, nothing specific but it will have the principle ideas.

Where are you studying this at, your school should have some books about general rocketry and rocket physics / propulsion physics / aerodynamics, you might have to trudge to the library and look over what they have also.
