The first aircraft have started arriving at the UK's Farnborough air field, ahead of next week's Farnborough International air show.
Among the stars spotted arriving so far has been RSK MiG's thrust vectored MiG-29 (to be exported as the MiG-35), which wowed crowds at May's ILA Berlin air show (pictured below top).

Also making an arrival is one of the Bell/Boeing MV-22 Osprey tiltrotors, after having made a transatlantic crossing from US Marine Corps base in New River, North Carolina (below middle). The second of the two aircraft scheduled to perform at the show is reportedly stuck in Keflavik air base in Iceland after suffering technical problems en route.
A third aircraft to have made the early journey to Hampshire is the Hindustan Aeronautics HJT-36, the Indian Jet Trainer (bottom).
Meanwhile, Flight has launched a new blog site charting the arrivals at the show, as well as the Royal International Air Tattoo taking place at Fairford Royal Air Force base this weekend. So far, arrivals at RAF Fairford include two US Air Force Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bombers, a Lockheed Martin C-130 from the Royal Jordanian Air Force as well as contributions from the Greek, Turkish, Finnish and Polish air forces. Further details can be found at the new Air Shows blog site.
