Sam had tried to "help" push it through apparently, however a flag was raised!

It makes you wonder where Bill Shorten's ethical antennae lies because during Dastayari's resignation speech and Shortens following speech at no time did they admit that Sam had done anything wrong. In both cases it was simply "for the good of the Labor Party and he paid a heavy price" really!

It has also been suggested by some commentators that his resignation timing has been orchestrated so it presents Christine Keneally an easy passage into the Senate should she lose the very close Bennelong by election

On other forums, there is banter about the Libs taking donations from the same businessman, and about Robb getting a cushy $880K job with them after he left politics.
But they weren't "ducks" like Dastiari, he set himself up to fail with the South China SRA remark, and accepting bribes, not donations to the party, he is a traitor.
