Hagel confirmation

It seems more and more that the Republican Party is willing to hurt national defense just to make the president look bad. The D.O.D. is facing huge cuts across the board and now republicans in congress are accusing a fellow republican of being soft on Iran, anti-Semitic, not good for the D.O.D., and now the latest is he abused his own staffers. Is this just the way things are or is a drought in bipartisanship gotten to the point where it is now effecting national security? When is enough bs enough bs?

It could be that the Republicans believe that out of all the possible candidates for Sec Def, Hagel is far from being the best pick.

Lets hope he tries to restrain Obama's lunatic cuts on our armed forces.
How about you go look up how we got in this mess before making such idiotic statements. Obama cannot cut anything, Congress controls the purse strings.

I believe the exact wording in the constitution is advise, not select. He is being filibustered over Obama's policies, not his qualifications. Didn't see that after reading the constitution.
