At a snap guess, without looking into this further, I'd guess Singapore. They're the only Asian country that comes to mind that would have the sort of relationship with Israel, as well as the needed technical background, for such purchase. I would think that other advanced Asian nations (i.e. Japan and South Korea) would either use an indigenously system developed system, or purchase one from the US.

Could very well be wrong though

-Cheers

-Yeah, my best guess is that they're on they're way to India too.
I know Israel has a lot of respect for India. They have many joint projects and India already owns a lot of Israeli arms, etc, (a US" okay" would be necessary though). I'm not sure if aaaditya has the up to the minute knowledge of the aircraft deal, but I think we'd (US) "bless the deal" if we thought there's a better chance of selling the F-16s to India. I think the F-16I is the only american plane that's a legit possibility. Thinking about it more, the F-16I (Israel/India), would have many of the same components, and pretty much be able to work well with all other american/israeli systems, right off of the shelf (right away, less problems). :unknown

-my two other guesses are: singapore (as mouse said) or japan.

I'll say India too, for a couple of reasons ...

i) The Singapore Army's C4I or battle management system is already pretty much in place, having achieved IOC just last year.
ii) ST's US subsidiary won a contract a few years back to supply ruggedised laptops to the US Army worth IIRC about US$200m.

Given that Singapore already has both hardware and software capabilities in place ... India
