Oops! That should be 'Irkut'.
Anyways this story was reported on the internet, when it was announced.
The interesting thing is that the Yak-130 was never designed to be an export vehicle, it was designed to only be used by the Russian air force, with the MiG-AT being the trainer that was to be offered on the export market.
This seems to be a strange move by Libya, as the deal that was concluded by Russia with Algeria involved the sale of Yak-130s, and with the two countries being neighbours, you would assume that Libya would attempt to get a more capable (level above, different nationality perhaps)platform than its neighbour (note, Im not saying that the Yak isn't a capable plane, just that i expected Libya to go for something else).
