23 MIGS to Poland for one euro

Poland has bought 23 MIG 29 fighter jets from Germany for one euro. They were lefttovers from the former communist east German forces. The planes were handed over with military ceremony at a base near Rostock on Friday in the presence of the Polish and German defence ministers. They were getting too expensive for the German airforce to maintain.

Literally one euro....

Polish law dictated they had to paid for.

Germany wanted to hand them over as a gift.

A compromise was met....lol

A fleet of 120 Leopard tanks came with the deal also I think....?

BBC News said they were expected to last until 2015 which is a pretty short time possibly...
