Turkey to buy up to 17 Sikorsky Seahawk helicopters – defense minister

ANKARA: Turkey has decided to buy up to 17 Seahawk helicopters for its navy from United Technologies Corp's Sikorsky Aircraft unit , Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul said.
The deal involves the initial purchase of 12 Seahawks with an option for five more, Gonul told journalists, Anatolia news agency reported.
He did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
The Turkish armed forces already have eight S-70B Seahawk helicopters.
