E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System - airborne battle management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance platform. Modified Boeing 707-300 airframe with canoe-shaped radome under forward fuselage that houses 24-foot long, side-looking phased array antenna. Gathers & displays detailed battlefield information on ground forces with 120-degree field of view covering nearly 19,305 square miles (50,000 square kilometers).
