Patria has delivered the first NH90 transport helicopter to the Finnish Defence Forces a week ahead of the schedule agreed last December. The Patria assembled helicopter was handed over at the Roll Out event of the helicopter assembled in France. The Finnish Defence Forces now have two helicopters of this kind.

The delivery was the second one made by Patria, the first Patria assembled NH90 helicopter was delivered to the Swedish Defence Material Establishment (FMV) in autumn 2007. Patria has the first NH90 assembly line established outside the NAHEMA countries and contractually assembles 50 helicopters as subcontractor to Eurocopter.

In December 2007 Patria and NHIndustries agreed on closer cooperation in life cycle support in the Nordic countries.

Patria is a defence and aerospace group with international operations delivering competitive solutions based on its own specialist know-how and partnerships. Patria is owned by the State of Finland and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V.
